"Where the MAGIC of prevention, becomes lifelong PROTECTION.

Maya’s Magic Word was created from a deeply personal place—and with a very simple, very powerful belief at its core: every child deserves to know that their voice matters.

This project began as a children’s book, but it has always been more than a story. It is a movement of early empowerment, designed to help young children understand boundaries, consent, and self-trust in a way that feels safe, magical, age-appropriate, and empowering—never scary.

At the center of it all is Maya: a curious, brave little girl who discovers that she has a magic word she can use whenever something doesn’t feel right. Through imagination, warmth, and gentle storytelling, children learn one of the most important lessons of their lives:

They are allowed to speak up.

They are allowed to say no.

They are allowed to ask for help.

Why Maya’s Magic Word Exists

Too often, we wait until children are older to talk about safety, boundaries, and self-advocacy. But research—and lived experience—shows us that early language creates lifelong protection.

Maya’s Magic Word was created to:

• Empower children ages 2–6 with simple, repeatable language

• Support parents, caregivers, educators, and communities with tools they can trust

• Prevent harm through early confidence, not fear

• Help children build intuition, self-worth, and voice from the very beginning

This is not about teaching children to be afraid of the world. It’s about teaching them to feel safe within themselves, and giving adults the needed tools to help them do so.
